Tennis court maintenance is a must all year round. By doing so, the person can ensure that the players can play their favorite ballgame without having to worry about the courts. Usually, the courts are made out of hard surfaces such as asphalt, cement, grass or clay. It is important to have the right length and width, as well as net height to be able to play properly.

It is a good thing that the hard courts area easy to maintain. However, the repairs for the said surface will be difficult when one does not maintain it properly. Make sure that there are no debris on the surface and that it is clean. If the person can maintain it properly, then the courts will be useful in a long time.

The courts should not have any loose pebbles and rocks too. The loose pebbles and rocks are the common causes of cracks and divots on the said hard surface. The blurred lines in the courts will just cause blunder in the decision both the players and judge or referee can make, especially with regards to the boundaries for every play. This will have a big impact on every game.

There are times when the clay courts are being used. If this is the case, maintain the said courts by using lute-scarifier. This will be useful in loosening and leveling this surface. This will result to the removal of the loose granules. With this tool, its conclave blade will just float over the clay and smooth the entire surface out.

It is also easier to maintain the clay courts if the person has a line scrub brush. This is useful in the removal of elements that cause caking onto the lines. Without these elements, the lines will look clearer. Finally, the person should make use of rollers to keep this surface compact. Do not forget to keep the clay moist before maintaining it to prevent cracking.

Take care of the grass courts as well. In the case of the grass courts, the person might encounter a few difficulties with it. The person has to be sure that the grass are cultivated and maintained so that it is smooth and even. There must be no depressions nor slants in the grass. It has to be firm and dense to allow ball bouncing too.

Using the grass courts after the planting will take a long time. It is important to have the weeds gain roots first before the ground can be used. This is an extensive tennis court maintenance so grass courts are usually left to professionals or experts.
