Modern Home Architectural Concepts And Designs

Families have to have homes. The need for shelter is one very basic need. This is the place where parents raise their brood. Young children will frolic in the yard, roll on the grass, play with siblings or pets. These youngsters will eventually grow into adulthood and when they get stung by this crazy little thing called love, they marry and leave their parental home. Newlywed couples who plan of having a home can contact home design othello wa.

Humans that lived during the ancient times was full of fun and adventure. They had to play hide and seek with the other creatures that also roamed in the forests with them. Escape and evade, they live. Get caught, and they are plain dead meat for predators. When they got tired playing this crazy game, they found solace in caves and caverns.

Technology was introduced when man first made simple tools and learned how to use it. A sharpened stick turned into a weapon. Purposely cracked rocks and stones resulting in sharp edges turned into a cutting tool, good for cutting flesh and meat. Attaching the sharp edged rock to a stick converted it into primitive axes and war hammers.

With this simple implement and its naked hand, man started constructing structures. The first of these were simple abodes or houses. The structure was not complex and was strong enough to prevent other creatures from entering it. Nature abundantly provided the main material, trees. All parts of it were used and skin from dead animals was used to roof it.

These type of structure still exists in some parts of the world, especially in undeveloped countries. One just has to travel to remote areas and they can see these. Paradoxically, this is the same type that beach front property owners prefer to have in their resorts especially in the tropics where it is windy and warm. Being constructed primarily of wood, it certainly is very ecologically friendly.

Modern homes are now constructed using different material combinations. The foundation is mostly of concrete and steel while sidings are of prefabricated wall panels or glass. Roofs are mostly made of galvanized iron sheets. There are modest homes usually for middle and low income families and there are elegant palaces and mansions for the glitzy glamorous rich.

Most houses are located in residential estates. This is a piece of land appropriated by government agencies that are responsible for rationalizing land use. Mostly, the place is quite distant from industrial and commercial areas where most people congregate. Oftentimes this piece of land is developed by large real estate conglomerates who finance the housing projects.

Sometimes it is hilarious how things happen. The glitzy affluent people are now moving into the smaller houses to cut costs, especially in cleaning and maintenance. They are not at home most of the time. This is the trend nowadays. Now the opposite is true with low and middle income families who want to have large houses which are very expensive and very costly to maintain.

Couples who want to own a home of their liking can have it conceptualized and designed by licensed architects either working as individuals or as employees of architectural and construction firms. It would be good to do some research on this. Keeping your legs moving and asking around from neighbor and friends for advice and recommendations is not a bad idea.
